At once I will tell that I the purpose had no exact copying of this picture therefore I did not even pay attention to discrepancies. Who wants, can precisely copy this rose in a pot therefore I exposed the original.
So, I started drawing with the revealed rose. Press the image, it has big permission where you will be able to consider everything in detail. Then at a certain distance drew a bud of a rose and a stalk. Then drew a pot. Pot bottom not flat, but roundish.
Now it is necessary to draw leaves. If for you it is too heavy and you feel that to you will bother and you will become hysterical from drawing of such large number of fine details, draw leaflets so much, how many you consider that you will master, for example in 2 or are 3 times less, in places what it to be pleasant to you. If in my drawing my sketches of leaves are unclear, address to the original and copy from there.
Now we will start shading a rose. Actually I have a rose of 6 by 5 cm in size therefore easy to shade. Take the softest pencil which you have. I use a pencil 6B. By means of the different level of pressing a pencil and drawings lines slightly closer and slightly further from each other create transitions of shadows. Who is not familiar with shading at all, look at first at this lesson, then this.
We paint over all rose-petals. Be not afraid to put very dark shadows, they give to realness drawing.
Now we will pass to a pot. Paint over visible part of the earth, leaving stalks and leaves not touched. We start applying shading on a pot. In the original the pot has not uniform color, clay (?) goes with what impurity and repeats a pot form therefore lines will repeat too a pot form.
From pot sides I at first simply shaded, then put over it shading less by the size (can see it on the left side), then with the curves bent different length put additional shading (result on the right side).
Now shaded the remained area and put curves in a pot form.
Darkened areas on each side and in the bottom of a pot. The pot thus became a curve not that terrible, a rubber it is possible to correct everything then. Shaded a rose bud. Now we will pass to shading of leaves. Leaves which grow from the earth have lime color, they are lighter than the others, I shaded them with a pencil 2B.
I had dark therefore I made it more dark earth not enough. Applied shading on the remained leaves already with a pencil 6B. Our flower is ready.
